Red Alicante is a Spanish marble from the Alicante region, recognised for its warm red background and contrasting white calcite veining. The base colour may range from muted brick and terracotta tones to deeper red, often with a softly clouded appearance.
Colour density, vein pattern and natural markings vary from piece to piece and from one production batch to another. Product photographs show the general character of the stone rather than the exact appearance of every tile.
Red Alicante can be considered for interior floors, walls, staircases, fireplaces and bespoke decorative stonework. Its strong colour is particularly effective for feature areas, classical schemes and combinations with cream, white or black stones.
Marble is sensitive to acids and may develop a natural patina in use. The finish, installation system and maintenance plan must be selected for the application, substrate and traffic. Exterior use should be assessed for the exact site and climate.
